Emily Su

is making systems safer and intuitive for humans

I'm an incoming MASc student in Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto where my research focuses on human factors engineering for driver support systems and I apply machine learning and statistical methods to study them. Outside of my thesis, I'm also currently working on human-AI interaction research at the COoKIE Group and at the Computational Social Science Lab.

In the past, I did a honours BSc (HBSc) degree at the University of Toronto studying computer science, statistics, and digital humanities. I was a recipient of UofT Department of Statistical Sciences's Summer Undergraduate Research Award (SURA) and assisted with research at the Bank of Canada. In my free time, I love to be active (exercising at the gym or dancing), take photos, go to concerts, read books, design/make art, and go down rabbit holes.
